Biosnails (Health Life)

Our materials

500 gr. snails

1 clove garlic

1 / 2 cup red wine

1 / 4 cup vinegar

3 / 4 cup olive oil

1 bough rosemary

1 bay leaf

Marjoram

Thyme

Savory

Pepper

Salt

Freshly ground pepper
to prepare

2 handfuls of flour

Salt

Vinegar

In a wide saucepan put the snails live and without  washing them, sprinkle with flour and some salt, let them stand for 8 hours.

Then we clean them very well by washing them several times.

In a saucepan add water to the boil and add 1 / 2 cup vinegar and snails.

Boil 5 minutes and strain.

This is the procedure we follow 2 other times but without adding vinegar to the water!

The third time, add the bay leaf.
Drain the snails in a
strainer.

 

In a large frying pan heat up olive oil and place all the snails with the "neck" down and the whole clove of garlic!

Just burn the oil add the wine and vinegar.

Add salt, pepper and herbs.

Lower temperature and simmer until sauce thickens.
